1) What is a working day like for a UX/UI designer in an IT company?
– I prefer to start a day with a cup of coffee. Over it, I look at current articles on design topics, look for interesting solutions, and get inspired for the upcoming workday.
Next, I write a list of planned activities and tasks in my diary so that I don’t forget anything. It is probably interesting that I do this in writing, since I get special pleasure from it.
Then I start performing immediate tasks, starting with small ones and ending with large ones. Of course, they are different every day, starting from making adjustments to the design of specific projects and the company's website, ending with the creation of new design pages.
2) In which programs does most of your work take place?
– Figma is my main work tool. Sometimes, there is a need to use Photoshop. Besides, there are some programs in which the design is directly created. I also use sites for selecting references and various photo stocks.
3) What basic skills should a UX/UI designer have if he or she plans to work in an IT company in the future?
– Desire is the most important thing. Nothing will work out without sincere desire. Of course, this is also a creative approach and creative vision, but there is a big BUT here. Unlike a classic designer, a UX/UI designer should have an analytical mindset, since the search for references that I mentioned earlier is an important part of my work. Moreover, searching for/comparing competitors is analysis.
4) Do you think a UX/UI designer in an IT company is still more about creativity and creativity or about analysis?
– I believe that analysis dominates in my work. Even the very first stage of any of my tasks is analysis. Everything starts with it. Later on, the process of creativity and creation also comes into play, but even here it goes in tandem with analytical work.
